Representations is a project mapping the geopolitical hypermobility of capital, its services (public operations), and informal economic models.

This project follows multiple trajectories circulating around the following chapters: models of connection and activism, autonomous media, mobile architecture, geopolitical and geo-virtual cartographies, social disobedience, contemporary political engagement and theoretical confrontation with the global scale of semiocapitalism.

This work culminates as a radical archive, documenting the ready-made landscapes in the San Diego region as a choreography and inscription of social power onto the territory. My interests lie in making visible through comparison and documentation, the diagrams of power that are aesthetically inscribed onto buildings housing military contractors, and the many networks of flow that these systems of capital operate through the infrastructure of the desert southwest.

Additionally, I am interested in the distance between my own imaging of these landscapes and the viewer. The proximity of everyday violence, social space, and citizenry is troubled through a mixture of textual research, photographic evidence gathering, and ground samplings of found objects at the sites and their networks. The seeming lack of inhabited space at these sites, as a drone archeology, can be done to study the spatial productions through a militarization of urban planning.
